GENERAL FAQ

1. Can you fly drones legally in New York City?
Yes. Legal NYC drone filming requires FAA approvals, NYPD permit coordination, location permissions, and a safety plan. Airborne Studios helps productions manage the process from planning to flight.


2. Do you file the NYPD drone permits?
Yes. We submit all NYPD drone permit applications with flight details, location planning, safety documentation, and production coordination for film, TV, commercial, and live event shoots.


3. How long does NYPD drone approval take?
Timing depends on the location and production details. Many NYC drone approvals should plan for about a 14-day window from submission to shoot date.


4. Can you fly near NYC airports or heliports?
Yes, when properly approved. We submit FAA airspace, LAANC options, controlled airspace, heliports, and safe operating limits near JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, and Manhattan heliports.


5. Do you offer FPV and cinema drone crews in NYC?
